Single Board Computers by Form Factor

Embedded Planet recognizes that one size does not fit all. We build our single board computers in many different form factors. Some are based on industry standards such as PCI Mezzanine Cards (PMC), Advanced Mezzanine Cards (AMC), and PCI 104 Cards. We also make several custom computer on module single board computers.

While our single board computers come in different shapes and sizes, they often share a common set of requirements:

  • Network Enablement
  • Power Efficiency
  • Product Longevity
  • Environmental Stress

Advanced Mezzanine Cards (AMC)

Advanced Mezzanine Cards (or AMCs) are a small and flexible form factor that take advantage of modern processing power and high speed serial interconnects. The cards can be used on ATCA boards that are designed to be AMC carriers or they can be used directly in a MicroTCA Chassis. Learn More...

PCI Mezzanine Cards (PMC)

PCI Mezzanine Cards (or PMCS) are a small form factor card designed for use in CompactPCI and VME mezzanine applications. The cards are mounted on carriers and used to add I/O features or additional processing capability. The mezzanine connectors always support a PCI interface and optionally support other I/O interfaces. Learn More...

PC-104 Cards

The PC-104 form factor is a venerable stackable form factor that comes in several flavors. The original form factor included only an IDE bus for stacking. Newer versions include a PCI bus in addition to the IDE bus, while a version known as PCI-104 removes the IDE bus and includes only the PCI bus. Learn More...

Custom Single Board Computers

In addition to the industry standard form factors, Embedded Planet makes several custom form factor single board computers. They are designed to be pluggable CPU modules, allowing customers to focus on their specific I/O requirements and use a field proven CPU complex. Learn More...
