Freescale QorIQ AMCs and Custom Modules
In 2011, we introduced a line of Advanced Mezzanine Cards based on the Frescale QorIQ line of embedded multicore processors. These AdvancedMCs feature multi-core processors, up to 8Gb of DDR3 memory and high speed interconnects such as Serial RapidIO, PCIe, Gb Ethernet and XAUI 10Gb Ethernet.
These processor AMC cards are designed for computationally intensive applications such as wireless base stations, media gateways, test and measurment applications and deep packet inspection. All our QorIQ modules can be run in one of our Schroff MicroTCA chassis or in stand-alone mode on your desktop or workbench.
As with all Embedded Planet Single Board Computer Modules the Freescale PowerPC products include a firmware suite (PlanetCore or U-Boot). Embedded Linux and VxWorks BSPs are available directly from Embedded Planet to accelerate development.
