When a customer needed a Linux kernel based on the latest Freescale PowerPC processor, they turned to Embedded Planet's Professional Services Division. With an extremely tight development schedule for the work and an untested Linux architecture, the customer needed experienced embedded systems professionals with skills in PowerPC processor architectures and Linux Device Driver Development.

Embedded Planet was the right solution for this customer. Within the customer's schedule and budget constraints, Embedded Planet ported the Freescale Linux Support Package (LSP) to the target board, added new PCI, Flash and I2C drivers and wrote test code for the extended I/O. The delivered product included not just operational code but also full test routines and documentation.
