As part of the Agora 2.0 platform, we have introduced Agora53. It is a robust, standalone embedded modem with MCU and on-board sensors options. This new product creates the ultimate cellular modem solution for IoT integration and brings more processing power.

It steps up with the Nordic nRF5340, featuring dual Cortex-M33 cores that bring significantly greater processing horsepower for edge analytics, AI workloads, and other demanding applications.

Wireless options include any combination of Cellular CAT M1, LoRa, and Bluetooth 5.0/BLE, while sensor options include temperature, humidity, pressure, air quality, distance, sound, and 6-axis accel/gyro.

Agora53 introduces Zephyr RTOS, unlocking advanced scheduling, modularity, and performance features designed for edge computing.

How Agora52 Fits Your Needs

We have introduced two new variations of Agora to replace the previous series from Agora. The updated Agora53 has evolved its capabilities, but that additional speed will help you keep pace with advances in your system and design requirements.

Agora53

All of the things that you wanted to do with Agora can be done with Agora 52 with a few small changes to pin assignments and the removal of the 9-axis IMU and ambient light sensor. We made these feature changes based on customer use and common requirements.

Agora52 can run all the FreeRTOS-based code that EP has developed for the original Agora IoT sensors.

MCU + BT SoC: All implemented with certified Fanstel modules	nRF5340
Processor Core	2 x Cortex-M33 \| Separate network core which handles the BT radio and leaves the entire application core available for edge processing. The application core on the 53 scores 514 EEMBC CoreMark.
